Jake the Snake

Just heard back from Kona on the 2004 frame that snapped clean through at Rainier. Warranty expired in 2008. I can buy a "crash replacement" frame for $425. Not the answer I was hoping for.

I didn’t really expect a new frame but a guy can dream, huh?

Now I gotta sell this stupid bucket full of stupid 9spd parts.

I’d write a little eulogy here but this was not a bike I even loved enough to hate. (That’s probably why it sat in Ellen’s garage for five years.) It was functional and cheap and the one time it tried to do something fun it broke its spine clean in half.
