Real life vs. college

I’m trying to scrape up $70 for a copy of The Literature of Ancient Sumer. Jenny and I give ourselves $100 (each) every month for walking-around money: cofee, shoes, books of Sumerian poetry, and so forth. Despite being only the second week of March I’m below $70. I really want this book, which is not available from the local library, and which would take me several months to read anyway.

I remember buying a lot of books like The Literature of Ancient Sumer in college and grad school. I bought them because I was told to, dutifully failed to read them, then sold them back to the bookstore for a third of their purchase price.
