FREE BEER

...or rather, free ice cream. Today was "free ice cream" day at Ben and Jerry's, apparently a phenom of some sort. [sidebar: the local Ben and Jerry's is located on the first floor of the Pacific Building, where I work] People lined up around the corner, waiting up to an hour and half for a free ice cream cone.

Such displays always lead me to wonder: do these people have jobs? Not because they're goofing off at 3:00 pm on a Tuesday (hey...I was there taking pictures...), but because they were sacrificing 90 mortal minutes for about $3 worth of ice cream. Is life really so cheap?
